Dear PACAA Members:

Welcome to our new wiki!

By now you've probably heard the term, but are not sure what one is or how it can help you be a better educator. Well, join the club! At the Summer Meeting in Ocean City Maryland, John Dorner, spent the day expanding our vision of the  tools that we can use to make our job easier, faster, and most of all...reach more people.

Why do we need the tools of Web 2.0 in Extension? Isn't a computer and powerpoint enough? Check this out !   Web 2.0.

Ok...so maybe Web 2.0 is different... but why should I change my way of teaching? Check this out!   Shifthappens

Still think we can do business the same old way?

The best thing we learned at the meeting in OC was that the new technologies are for you, and me, and ...anyone!

No longer is publishing on the web a steep learning curve only for geeks! You can publish something right now..it takes only a few minutes.

That's what this wiki is about. You, me, all of us working together faster, more efficient and better able to include all our stakeholders in the learning process.

So take advantage of this opportunity. Try it out. Post something, Blog, Collaborate, Entice, Engage, Query, Create, Play, Share, ...most of all learn.

Because after all ...everyone has something to teach us. Thats called collaborative networked learning!  See you knew that all along right!

Enjoy!

Important Note: If you want your computer to continue to notify you when somebody adds to the wiki? You can:

1. Simply log into the wiki using your name and email address..you are automatically put on the notifications list. An email will be sent to you when changes are made.

2. OR you can just click on the rss feed icon in the lower right hand corner. Then whenever anyone changes or adds something you'll be able to see whats changed in your Internet Explorer browser.

This notification through the list serve will be discontinued.

Oh...by the way the password to this wiki is <agent>.  Keep it a secret right?  NOT!   Tell anyone and everyone!

OK...SO Here's a quiz on web 2.0 tools.
